Quality & Inspection

Manual Tools

We utilize manual measuring tools such as calipers, height and depth gauges, and gauge pins.

Measuring Microscope

Our high-performance measuring microscope ensures accurate 2D measurements of components and housings.

Coordinate Measuring Machine

3D measurement of machined parts is accomplished with our coordinate measuring machine (CMM).

Microassembly Capabilities

In order to achieve the extreme performance requirements for millimeter wave active products, teams must be able to work with semiconductors in bare die form. This requires the establishment of a specialized chip and wire lab. Eravant possesses a certified ISO Class 8 Lab to meet the microwave and millimeter wave module assembly and testing requirements for space, aerospace, and military applications. We are equipped with wedge bonders, gap welders, and die-attach stations. These machines are supplemented with plasma cleaner stations and a bond-pull and die-shear machine. All work orders are stored in vacuum-controlled dry boxes to further enhance product reliability.

Manufacturing Equipment

Fiber Laser Cutter

Eravant uses this specialty laser to optimize product performance and reduce costly third-party iterations.

PCB Plotter

Our team employs this equipment to realize PCB layout designs within a few hours, reducing lead-time for R&D and production manufacturing.

Fiber Laser Marker

We use this dual laser beam machine to mark metals for unique parts cutting and serialization of difficult-to-mark products for instrumentation and lab use.

3D Printers

Eravant also possesses 3D printing capability for assembly and test fixture manufacturing to support production and engineering processes.

Environmental Testing

To reduce lead times associated with third-party testing facilities, Eravant committed to equipping itself with industry-standard environmental test equipment. Our testing capabilities include a custom thermal vacuum chamber, a vacuum thermal oven, and a rapid temperature testing station.

Read more about our capabilities on the New Space page.

Antenna Testing

Eravant built a 2D and 3D far field anechoic chamber for our customers' antenna testing requirements. The ranges can cover 1 to 170 GHz and 1 to 67 GHz, respectively.

The larger range is equipped with a 2D positioner and a spectrum analyzer for 2D pattern and gain measurements. The size of the chamber accommodates antennas with a bigger footprint.

The smaller range can be used for quick antenna pattern and gain measurements. We also use this range to capture 3D antenna patterns. It is equipped with a 3D positioner and a Vector Network Analyzer (VNA).

Manual Machines

We keep our own machine shop to aid the delivery of millimeter wave hardware. Experience has shown us that the fastest path to delivery requires control over every aspect of fabrication and design. The precision standards for workmanship and testing at such high frequencies means that our team must have the tools to solve problems resourcefully when 1 or 2 mil make a difference.

Millimeterwave hardware can be very unforgiving. The perfection required to deliver sometimes needs a final touch before the right fit or flatness can be achieved. Eravant's machine shop capabilities include manual machines like a vertical milling machine and swiss lathes to achieve those standards.

CNC Machines

Eravant uses its CNC machines in a number of ways. Although they are not used for production hardware machining, they still contribute greatly to aid hardware modifications, assembly and test fixture fabrications, lab fixture requirements, and certain component and subassembly builds.
