Ka-Band Orthomode Transducer

SAT-343-28028-S1 is a broadband WR-28 Ka-band orthomode transducer (OMT) that operates from 23 to 44 GHz. The OMT separates a circular or elliptical polarized waveform into two linear, orthogonal waveforms or combines two linear polarized waveforms into one circular or elliptical polarized waveform. The Ka-band OMT supports either vertical or horizontal polarized waveforms with 35 dB typical cross polarization rejection and 40 dB typical port isolation. The antenna port is a 0.280” square waveguide, while the vertical and horizontal ports are standard WR-28 waveguides. All ports have standard UG-599/U flanges with 4-40 threaded holes. The Ka-band OMT is commonly purchased as a complete dual-polarized antenna package under the model SAF-2334431535-328-S1-280-DP, which features an integrated compact square to circular waveguide mode transition, SWT-280328-SA-C-QC, and a broadband scalar feed horn, SAF-2234431535-328-S1. Additional customization options, such as converting the horizontal and vertical waveguide ports to coaxial interfaces by adding 2.4 mm waveguide to coax adapters (SWC-2434431505-282F-R1 or SWC-2434431505-282M-R1), are available under different model numbers.
